Call for Papers – Line of Thought

Line of Thought (LoT) is a conference on the arts and humanities. It aims to encourage research in the arts and provide a platform for practitioners of the arts and crafts to share their knowledge and experience. It is organized by Kathmandu University Department of Art and Design (KUArt+Design) in partnership with Satori Center for the Arts (SCA). This year, LoT is being organized at the Nepal Art Council from July 9 to 12, 2024.

We invite researchers and practitioners of the arts and crafts to submit abstracts on research papers or presentations that they would like to give on the arts. The topic should have a distinctive connection to Nepali art history or practice.

Submission Guidelines: 

  • Submit an abstract of a paper or presentation in 500 words or less.
  • Include the following information in your abstract:
    • The title of the proposed paper or presentation
    • A short description of the significance of the research
    • An overview of the methodology used
  • Abstracts can be in English or Nepali
  • Include a CV of the author(s) or presenter(s)
  • Send your abstract and CV to: mfashow@kuart.edu.np

Important Dates

Submission Deadline: Jun 24, 2024

Confirmation of acceptance: Jul 1, 2024

Conference Dates: July 9 to 12, 2024
