3:30PM @ Metro Park, North Gate Lazimpat, KathmanduBrief about the talk and Brooke White

Over the past twenty years White’s work has focused on the connections between people, technology and the environment. Through the use of video and photography she investigates the ways in which identity is formed through the landscape and place. As part of the Kathmandu International Art Festival she will discuss the role that agriculture, technology and politics play in developing identity and the landscape. White will present current and past projects photographed in the United States, Africa, Asia and most recently in India where she has been a Fulbright scholar.

White is currently Associate Professor of Art at the University of Mississippi and a Fulbright Scholar in India. Her work can be seen at www.brookecwhite.net.
