KUArt+Design hosted an artists talk / presentation by Brenna K. Murphy and Britta Helmerdig at KUArt+Design, KU SoA Hattiban. Ms. Murphy talked about her works and Ms. Helmerdig talked about the works of Hilmar Boehle.
American mixed-media artist, Brenna K. Murphy, has lived and worked in Kathmandu for the past year. She holds a B.F.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and completed a six-month artist residency at the Kathmandu Contemporary Arts Centre (KCAC) in September of 2015. She has exhibited widely throughout the U.S., as well as internationally in Nepal, China, and France. She is the recipient of many awards and her work has been acquired by the University of North Carolina and the West Collection.

Britta Helmerdig, experimental Artist from Düsseldorf, Germany. Graduated from Academic voor Schone Kunsten, Arnhem, Netherlands in 1985. Exhibited in Germany, India, Lithuania, Nepal, Netherlands, Poland. Had a residency at KCAC in 2014.
In 2009 she came into the legacy of the artist Hilmar Boehle, since then caring mainly for his works. Got funding for his catalog raisonné in 2010, a print grant in 2012, finished the book on Hilmar in 2015.
